l have been working hard to be an effective operator of a business. I have tried to treat my customers with respect. I try to price things fairly and treat my staff well. I have been a fool.

To my shagreen Steve Jobs has proven that I have made a by mistake. Obviously customers must see me a schmuck.Respect doesn’t beget respect, but rather contempt. Who knew?

I can’t even imagine what my staff thinks? Imagine if I treated them like Jobs does. Why I might have less sick time, greater productivity, and less employee theft. In fact I already have that and I don’t have to yell or belittle anyone.

Ok-removing tongue from cheek…. I have a hard time liking Apple because of his behaviour. Apple makes great products. But it is hard to listen to the Fan Boys go on and on. Jobs is not a role model. If any of my kids behaved like him there would he hell to pay. For those of you that idolize him think about that. And don’t tell me it is the temperament of a genius – the Google boys disprove that.
